Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) Location: Andover Salary: £13.68 to £14.88 per hour (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time GSL Education are seeking a compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) TA to join a supportive school in Andover. Key Responsibilities: Deliver personalised support aligned with students’ Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Assist students with additional learning needs through one-to-one and small group interventions. Adapt learning materials and classroom activities to suit different abilities and learning styles. Encourage positive behaviour using de-escalation techniques. Monitor and record student progress, sharing observations with the SENCO and teaching team. Maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom atmosphere. SEN TA Requirements: Previous experience supporting children with SEN in educational settings is preferred. Good understanding of key SEN areas and the challenges students may face. Ability to follow detailed plans and implement behaviour management strategies effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with students. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
