SEN Teaching Assistant – Southampton
Prospero Teaching are working with a range of mainstream and SEN schools across Southampton who are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN). These roles involve supporting pupils both in class and on a 1:1 basis, helping them access learning and develop confidence.
We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:
1. Have a calm, patient, and compassionate approach
2. Can build positive and trusting relationships with students
3. Are proactive, adaptable, and resilient
4. Are confident supporting children with additional needs in structured settings
5. Recognise and celebrate small achievements in student progress
Contract details:
6. Location – Southampton, Hampshire
7. Position – SEN Teaching Assistant
8. Start date – ASAP
9. Contract type – Long term supply or temp to perm
10. Duration – Ongoing
11. Full time – Full time role
12. Minimum rate of pay – £ per hour
Eligibility:
13. Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (GCSE)
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
15. A nurturing and consistent approach
16. Reliable, committed, and able to use initiative
