Bodyshop Technician / Paint Technician
We are seeking experienced Paint Technicians to join a busy automotive repair shop and mobile units.
Job Details:
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £44,200 Basic: Negotiable depending on experience. £65K OTE including bonuses (unlimited).
Location: Mansfield, Doncaster, Sheffield, Leeds, Leicester, Coventry, Lincoln.
Working Schedule:
· 8:00am/5:00pm - Monday/Friday
· 8:00am/13:00pm - Alternate Saturdays
· 42.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Experience & Skills: -
· Proven experience as a Bodyshop Paint Technician with hands-on expertise.
· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Good problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and accurately.
· Must have own tools and equipment necessary for the job.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to meet high-quality standards.
· Filler work: Ability to apply filler and smoothing panels to restore the vehicle's shape and integrity.
· Perform spray painting on vehicles, Cars, Vans, HGVs, Motorhomes and Buses.
· You will have a methodical and logical approach to your work, having high standards in quality/finish and confident in technology and fastidious in process.
· Working in a manner consistent with the minimisation of lost, non-revenue and/ or diversionary time, recording all such time in an accurate and complete manner.
· Quality control: Ensuring all bodywork repairs meet company and industry standards.
· Keeping work areas clean and tidy well organised and safe from hazards to Health and Safety.
· Adhering to health and safety procedures: Always maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications
Desirable qualifications and experience, However not essential if time served.
You will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Paint Technician and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA) or City and Guilds in Paint, Body, MET or Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
Demonstrate a positive, right first-time attitude.
Show a great team player mentality.
Skills: Proficiency in various painting techniques and methods, including spray painting. Familiarity with different types of paint and finishing products.
Proven experience in bodywork preparation, including fibreglass, carbon fibre, aluminium, steel, and plastics.
Expertise in edge-to-edge filler work, achieving flawless, precise finishes.
Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety regulations related to painting operations, including the use of hazardous materials.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
Full UK Driving License with minimal points
