The Role
Project Manager – Maritime division of QinetiQ. Based at the Farnborough or Portsmouth facilities, you will serve as an integral member of a dynamic PMO function, fully responsible and accountable to understand and deliver the programme vision, objectives and benefits.
Day-to-day, the projects within this role include delivering a critical hardware subsystem within the BUTEC ranging capability to address obsolescence and delivery of the hardware solution for a replacement acoustic sensing and processing solution (ASPSR) to ensure next level acoustic analysis for the MoD customer.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Delivery of a high value (c £2.5m) project
* Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers
* Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for delivery which reflects the up-to-date expectations for the work
* Reporting progress on all accountabilities to senior programme / portfolio manager
Essential experience of the Project Manager
* Typically 2-3 years in a Project Management position
* Ideally from the Defence, Aerospace or Marine industries
Essential qualifications for the Project Manager
* Degree educated
* APM, PPQ or Prince2 qualified

Location & working hours
This role is 37 hours per week based at either our Farnborough or Portsmouth facilities with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
