Title: Finance Director
Location: Reading/Oxford (Hybrid / predominantly remote)
Salary: £90,000 – £110,000 + benefits
Our client is a fast-growing software group delivering innovative digital solutions to clients across the UK and internationally. With a strong focus on product development, scalability, and operational excellence, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion and investment. As a result, they are seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function, providing strategic financial leadership while supporting the company’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop the finance function, ensuring robust financial governance, reporting, and controls across the business
* Partner with the executive leadership team to provide strategic financial insight and support key commercial decisions
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning aligned with the company’s growth strategy
* Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, including board-level reporting and performance analysis
* Drive financial modelling, scenario analysis, and investment appraisal to support business growth and product development initiatives
* Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance to ensure financial stability and scalability
* Support fundraising activities, investor reporting, and stakeholder management where required
* Improve financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities to support a scaling technology business
* Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements
* Manage and develop the wider finance team, fostering a high-performance culture
Candidate Requirements:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a Finance Director, Head of Finance, or senior financial leadership role
* Experience within technology, software, SaaS, or high-growth digital businesses is highly desirable
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive teams
* Experience supporting scaling businesses, including financial planning, investment decisions, and growth strategy
* Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
* Experience with modern finance systems and data-driven reporting environments
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a growing organisation
* Proactive and adaptable professional comfortable working in a fast-paced technology environment
