What we’re looking for…
As a Finance Business Partner looking our Brand and Commercial divisions - you will provide excellent finance management and partnership to business leaders, marketing and commercial teams to drive business performance in an FMCG Commercial environment.
You will leverage your deep understanding of financial analysis, strategic planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver value and drive the growth of our brands. Owning our brand & innovation planning and reporting for finance along with all marketing and commercial investment you will consistently driving a continuous improvement agenda through simplification, standardisation and automation.
Your responsibilities will include...
Business Partnering
* Business Partner to the Marketing Director, Commercial Managing Director along with their teams to execute the functional strategy by bringing an unrelenting focus on driving business performance
* Represent finance on the brand hubs for IRN-BRU, Rubicon & Boost. Leverage financial expertise to provide rigour, high quality analysis and insight in brand performance reviews
* Represent Commercial Finance to support the business innovation & enterprise processes. In particular, produce, review and challenge financial evaluations on enterprise & innovation projects to assist management decisions on the development of the business. Support and provide direction to Supply finance to ensure finance commitments to Innovation are met (on time and in full)
* Influence delivery of Commercial’s performance targets by providing clear, value adding reporting, analysis and insight to business partners on a cyclical and ad hoc basis as required
Business Performance Management
* Work with the Commercial team and Director of Commercial Finance to deliver the 3 year BSD IBP process and associated financial planning for Commercial. Work collaboratively to deliver a high quality, effective longer-term business planning process which also facilitates timely business decision making.
* Own and enhance the end to end business performance management cycle (period close, forecast, R&O, action planning) for brand reporting and marketing which manages performance against budget/forecast/prior year.
* Plan, execute and continuously improve the current pricing governance framework with the objective of increasing price defensibility, conditionality and product profitability/contribution.
* Provide timely, accurate and relevant standard reporting to the Commercial function.
Governance
* Lead rock solid financial controls within Commercial.
* Educate and support the delivery of key Governance KPIs for Commercial including improving processes that ensure a strong financial control environment exists particularly in recording and accruing marketing and commercial investment.
* Ensure that all financial accounting and control activities for each area of responsibility within the Commercial P&L and B/S are completed accurately and timely.
* Manage all internal/external audit reviews as required, ensuring timely resolution of any required management actions.
Leadership
* Coaching and development of more junior members of the team. People leader responsibilities for up to 2 graduate or qualified accountants.

Qualifications & Relevant Experience:
* Qualified Accountant with 3+PQE and strong financial analysis skills
* Experience in a Commercial FMCG environment business partnering sales teams
