Job Description
Make a Difference Where It Matters Most — Every Day
Some of the most meaningful moments in a young person's life happen in the classroom. A few words of encouragement, a consistent presence, or someone who believes in them can have a lasting impact.
We're looking for enthusiastic, adaptable individuals to join schools across Greater Norwich as Unqualified Teaching Assistants. This is a rewarding and varied role where you'll help pupils build confidence, develop essential skills, and fully engage with their learning.
If you're patient, dependable, and passionate about supporting others, this could be the perfect opportunity to start or develop your career in education.
The Role
As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and school staff to provide support for pupils with a range of academic, social, and behavioural needs. Your contribution will help create an inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks
* Assisting with literacy and numeracy development
* Encouraging positive behaviour through consistency and clear expectations
* Helping to maintain a safe, structured, and welcoming learning environment
* Working collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff to support pupil progress
Every day brings new challenges and opportunities, making this an ideal role for someone who enjoys making a genuine difference.

We're looking for individuals who are:
* Calm, confident, and dependable
* Positive role models for young people
* Adaptable and comfortable working across different school settings
* Strong communicators who enjoy working as part of a team
Previous experience in education, care, sports coaching, youth work, or similar roles is beneficial, but by no means essential. If you have a genuine desire to support young people, we'd love to hear from you.

* Access to CPD training and ongoing professional development
* A Guaranteed Work Scheme for eligible applicants, providing pay even when work isn't available on a particular day
* Competitive weekly pay, with enhanced rates for longer travel or extended hours
* Easy-to-use online systems for managing bookings and timesheets
* Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant throughout your journey
