My client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Scrum Master to join a forward-thinking team within a SaaS solutions specialist which is a global leader in its specialist field. With an outstanding record for growth and profitability, this organisation has an unparalleled product suite in a lucrative sector of the SaaS market. Strong Agile expertise and experience of the Inventory Management domain are essential.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate regular Agile (SAFe) Scrum ceremonies
* Coach your teams to understand and apply Scrum principles and adopt appropriate mindset and behaviours
* Act as a process owner for your teams, driving improvements, maximising efficiencies and increasing autonomy and ownership
* Work closely with Product Owners to make sure sprints as aligned to project goals and the product backlog is maintained
* Motivate and engage the teams and ensure they are focussed on value-based outcomes
* Use strong knowledge of Agile methodologies to enable one or more cross-functional teams to deliver value to clients
* Make use of metrics and measures to drive insight and continuous improvement to ensure that teams can realise their potential
* Ensure that any impediments are made visible and will facilitate resolution of any issues affecting the teams flow
Skills and Experience
* Significant experience in a Scrum Master role for Software Development teams specifically, delivering commercial applications for demanding clients in an Inventory Management domain
* Demonstrable expertise in facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency
* Detailed knowledge of an Agile methodology (SAFe, Scrum etc)
* A technical background to aid in prioritisation and best-practice
* Desire to learn new technologies, techniques and approaches and to work independently, with minimal supervision
* Excellent communication and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and drive teams
* Ideally, educated to at least degree level with certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master status
My client is very progressive and there is an R&D feel about much of their software development work, with the focus on delighting customers and adding extra functionality within rapid timelines. The have embraced the Agile method completely and the role will involve responsibility for looking after 2 Scrum teams so the ability to prioritise and respond quickly will be required.
