Job Title: Year 2 Teaching Assistant with some SEND Support Location: B46, Coleshill Start Date: After Easter Half Term Contract: Full-time (5 days per week) Rate: £100 - £110 per day (dependent on experience) Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, is working with a warm and supportive primary school located in the Coleshill area to recruit an experienced Year 2 Teaching Assistant. This full-time position involves providing in-class SEND support, delivering targeted interventions, and working closely with the class teacher to ensure all pupils can access learning effectively. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is confident working within a KS1 environment. The school is seeking a candidate who is proactive, nurturing, and committed to helping pupils thrive both academically and emotionally. The role is full-time, Monday-Friday, starting after half term and continuing until the end of the academic year. The Ideal Candidate Will: Have strong experience working in Year 2 or across KS1. Have demonstrable experience supporting pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social/emotional difficulties. Be confident delivering 1:1 and small-group interventions, following planning provided by the class teacher or SEND team. Work collaboratively with the class teacher to support whole-class learning, daily routines, and positive behaviour strategies. Assist with general Year 2 classroom duties such as resource preparation, phonics support, guided reading, and maintaining a well-organised learning environment. Build supportive and trusting relationships with pupils, using a calm and consistent approach. Demonstrate strong communication, flexibility, and a child-centred mindset.
