Customer Service Assistant
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:45 – 17:15 (1-hour lunch break)

The Role
We’re pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a full-time, office-based position with regular weekday hours—perfect for someone seeking a stable role in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
You’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and providing essential administrative support. This includes handling incoming calls and emails, processing orders, resolving queries, and assisting with returns and courier issues. Full training on our bespoke systems will be provided.
We’re looking for someone who is approachable, efficient, and detail-oriented, with excellent organisational skills. A professional telephone manner and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential. Above all, reliability and a strong attendance record are key.

Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly and professionally to customer calls and emails
* Provide accurate information on products and services
* Assist with order processing, returns, and delivery-related queries
* Resolve stock issues and liaise with suppliers or manufacturers as needed
* Escalate complex queries to the appropriate team when necessary
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
* Perform key operational tasks such as credit checks, order processing, and despatch
Key Skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Confident and courteous phone manner with strong listening skills
* Ability to assess customer needs and provide clear, helpful solutions
* Competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
* Able to stay calm and empathetic in challenging situations
Requirements
* A good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
* Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is preferred, but not essential
* A dependable, punctual, and responsible approach to work
