Wood is recruiting for a Tax Manager to join us on a permanent basis. We are looking for candidates who are a proven self‑starter, comfortable directly liaising with all levels to ensure the Group meets its transfer pricing, and country‑by‑country reporting and filing obligations.
This role is open to either remote or hybrid working from any of our UK offices.
The Role
In the role you will be responsible for managing the Group’s transfer pricing compliance which includes the preparation and submission of local files, master files and other transfer pricing documentation, managing the Group’s country‑by‑country reporting obligations and supporting the Tax Director – Transfer Pricing & Reporting in all transfer pricing matters. You will work closely with global finance leaders, Group Finance and Treasury, Commercial, Legal and Tax teams, and will regularly engage with external tax advisers, auditors and tax authorities. Operating within parameters set by the Group CFO and Head of Tax, the role has meaningful influence over key stakeholder and adviser relationships, helping to ensure consistent and effective global tax compliance.

Responsibilities
* Management of the preparation and submission process for the Group’s global transfer pricing compliance, including review and submission of local files, master files, and other transfer pricing documentation. This includes managing the relationship with the Group’s transfer pricing external advisors who prepare the local files.
* Review of Group‑wide transfer pricing policies, including review of central modules for inclusion in local files, working closely with advisors and collaborating with internal teams to prepare documentation support for the Group’s transfer pricing policies.
* Assist in the development and implementation of transfer pricing policies and strategies aligned with business objectives.
* Monitoring compliance with transfer pricing policies.
* Management of the country‑by‑country reporting notification and reporting process.
* BEPS Pillar Two reporting.
* Calculation of IP licence fee and maintenance of the calculation model.
* Manage internal services agreements process.
* Implement process automation to drive efficiencies and manage risk.
* Provide guidance on transfer pricing implications for new business initiatives and transactions.
* Assist the Tax Director – Transfer Pricing & Reporting with other transfer pricing related matters, including:
o queries from the business
o tax audits
o intercompany funding
o intercompany transactions
Qualifications
* ACA / ACCA and / or CTA qualification or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of transfer pricing regulations and principles, including OECD guidelines.
* Proven experience in managing transfer pricing processes, and designing and implementing transfer pricing policies.
* Demonstrable ability to develop solutions when faced with challenges.
* Excellent verbal communication skills and self‑confidence to explain tax concepts to internal and external contacts at all levels.
* Excellent report writing and project management skills.
* Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise.
* Demonstrable ability to meet deadlines under time pressure.
* Ability to use technology to drive efficiencies.
* Work well under pressure and meet a demanding timetable with hard deadlines.
