Full backup head office support with available parts 24/7 As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned and unplanned breakdown repair service to the customer based throughout the Birmingham, Worcestershire, Staffordshire and local surrounding region and will be part of a weekly rotating shift pattern consisting of 8 am – 5 pm and 11 am – 8 pm as well as an on-call rota consisting of 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend in every 4. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be qualified to NVQ level or equivalent in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar; be comfortable using mechanical hand tools and have experience of working on the service, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment and have a basic understanding of hydraulics and fault finding on 12- & 24-volt electrics. Previous experience working on heavy vehicle plant and machinery, forklift trucks, agricultural machinery, compactors, bailers, access platforms, Telehandlers, or similar equipment is beneficial, though not essential.
