Architect job in Manchester
A 12-month fixed-term is now available in Manchester, joining a purpose-led, employee-owned architecture practice. With studios across the UK, this multidisciplinary team is known for delivering high-quality design with a strong commitment to sustainability, social value, and ethical business practices.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across multiple sectors, supporting the continued growth of their Manchester studio. With a focus on collaboration and positive impact, this position would suit someone who has experience delivering projects. This is only a fixed-term contract currently, but depending on work load may move to a permanent role.
Role & Responsibilities
1. Lead and contribute to projects across all RIBA stages, from concept to delivery
2. Develop design concepts and communicate ideas through drawings, visuals and presentations
3. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and consultants
4. Prepare technical documentation, reports and planning submissions
5. Collaborate with senior team members on project strategy, timelines and delivery
6. Ensure design outputs meet quality, sustainability and client requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
7. ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 5 years post-Part III UK experience
8. Proven track record in project leadership and hands-on delivery
9. Strong Revit and Enscape skills are highly desirable
10. Confident communicator with good client-facing and presentation skills
11. Experience working across a range of sectors and project types
12. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign).
