Wentworth Castle Gardens is the only Grade I Registered Parkland and Gardens in South Yorkshire, and you’ll be bringing this to life for our visitors through programming events and activities that make their day the best it can be. Wentworth Castle Gardens is committed to working in partnership with others to become more accessible and to remove barriers for a more diverse range of visitors through the delivery of activities, programming, always-on offers, and interpretation which allows everyone to participate.As Visitor Experience Officer, your main focus will be on providing a great service for visitors by developing a wide range of experiences. With your team of staff and volunteers, you’ll be designing experiences that welcome people and inspire them to really get to know Wentworth Castle Gardens. This will include devising and running events and activities, creating interpretive displays, and other ways of bringing the place and its stories to life for everyone who comes here. You’ll encourage visitors to take a closer look at the gardens and parkland through a range of mediums, support partner-led activities including House Tours, alongside creating new and exciting opportunities for people to get involved.You will recruit, supervise, and support a team of volunteers, and help ensure their rotas and training are organised.
