Reuse Shop Manager
Salary: £29,171 - £34,319 per annum
Hours: 42 hours per week
Location: Allington Household Waste Recycling Centre, ME16 0LE
As a Reuse Shop Manager at FCC Environment, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Reuse Shop. You will lead and support a small team to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining safe, organised, and high-quality shop standards. Youll manage donations, stock, and finances playing a vital role in supporting sustainability and reducing landfill waste.
This vacancy is a permanent full-time position, working on a rota basis for an average of 42hrs per week. Weekend work will be required.

What will you be doing?
* Leading the daily operation of the Reuse Shop, including opening and closing
* Managing and training a small team of staff covering a 7 day per week rota pattern
* Pricing, displaying and organising donated goods to maximise sales
* Using a barcoding system and EPOS till to track stock and sales
* Managing shop budgets and sales reporting, including reconciliation and banking
* Ensuring customer satisfaction through strong service delivery
* Organising promotional activities and supporting external events
* Inspecting and testing donated electrical items for resale
* Coordinating with Recycling Centre teams and supporting contract-wide best practice
* Promoting FCC Environments sustainability values by reducing waste to landfill
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a motivated, organised and customer-focused individual with:
* Proven experience in retail
* Previous experience leading or supervising a team
* Confidence in using Microsoft Office 365 and till systems
* A proactive and flexible attitude
* Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
* The ability to build positive working relationships and represent FCC professionally
* A passion for reuse, recycling and sustainability
