Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a successful and well-established business to recruit an Accounts Assistant with a focus on Accounts Receivable. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, supportive finance team and really take ownership of your role.

What you’ll be doing:
* Posting cash and managing the daily cashbook
* Carrying out bank reconciliations
* Processing invoices and payments
* Supporting the Credit Control function and handling customer queries
* Keeping on top of aged debt and reviewing credit limits
* Sending out statements, copy invoices and credit notes
* Ensuring debtor days are in line with targets
* Lending a hand to the Purchase Ledger team when needed
What we’re looking for:
* Previous experience in a finance or admin role is ideal, but not essential
* A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
* Good Excel skills and a general confidence with systems
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A team player who’s happy to get stuck in and support where needed
