Assistant Physiotherapist Band 4 – Midpark Hospital

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our Allied Health Professions Team covering Midpark Hospital. This is a newly developed Band 4 Assistant Physiotherapy post.

The postholder will support the HCPC registered Physiotherapist in delivering flexible, patient‑centred care including physical activity and rehabilitation programmes for individuals and groups. You will manage a delegated caseload and prioritise workload with minimal supervision, independently adapting treatments within your scope of practice.

You will need to be flexible and able to prioritise and manage your time effectively. Good communication skills and multi‑disciplinary team working are essential.

You will also support and take a lead on developing physical activity within the wards, working closely to improve access to physical activity and links with wider community groups.


Responsibilities

* Support the HCPC registered Physiotherapist in delivering flexible, patient‑centred care including physical activity and rehabilitation programmes.
* Manage a delegated caseload and prioritise workload with minimal supervision, independently adapting treatments within your scope of practice.
* Lead on developing physical activity within the wards, improving access to activity and enhancing links with community groups.


Qualifications and Experience

* Flexible, able to prioritise and manage time effectively.
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Experience in a health and social care setting is helpful (not essential); experience in a fitness and health setting is an advantage.
* Commitment to completing Band 4 Physiotherapy competencies and to professional development.
