Q-mass is a precision engineering sub contract CNC machine shop, offering bespoke design and manufacturing solutions to a wide variety of customers.\n\nWe operate in O/G, defence and aerospace sectors supplying turnkey products of the highest complexity and quality.\n\nWe credit ourselves in being able to handle all varieties of engineering requests due to our advanced engineering knowledge and state of the art facility which includes turning, milling, 5-axis, gundrill and EDM capabilities.\n\nSuccessful candidates will be offered a full time contract.\n\nYou will receive a wage and full holiday entitlement during your apprenticeship. Your wage structure will be reviewed yearly and will increased based on review of your performance and progression.\n\nThe apprenticeship program will last 4 years, which includes day release at college and an initial 6-month introduction at EKGTA\n\nYour skill development will be reviewed and monitored based on the feedback we receive from your peers. An apprenticeship with Q-mass will see you trained on the set-up, programming and operating the most advanced CNC machines available in the industry.\n\nYou will carry out training in all departments of our CNC machine shop.\n\nQ-mass differs from competitor machine shops as the skillset required from our operators is of a higher level due to the requirement to carry out set-ups and programming. In order to apply for an apprenticeship you will need to have achieved school grades that include the following at National 5C or above:\n\n- Maths.\n- English\n- 2 technical/science subjects
