GSL Education are seeking a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join a friendly school environment in Nottinghamshire. In this role of Catering Assistant, you will:
* Assist with food preparation, serving meals, and supporting smooth lunchtime operations.
* Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and dining area in line with health and safety standards.
* Help manage food portions and ensure pupils receive meals efficiently.
* Work closely with kitchen staff and school personnel to deliver a welcoming and organised service.
* Support pupils politely and patiently, promoting a positive mealtime environment.
* Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and safeguarding at all times.
What You’ll Bring as a Catering Assistant:
* Previous experience in catering, hospitality, kitchen work, or a similar role (preferred but not essential).
* A positive, team-focused attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Good communication skills and a professional, friendly approach.
* An understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
