Essential Functions
To support the Secondary Operations Supervisor in supervising team members to ensure that production targets are met in a safe and compliant manner.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Team Supervision Assign tasks and monitor performance Train new employees and support skill development Effectively manage any conduct or performance issues with the support of the Supervisor and/or Departmental Manager.
2. Production Management Ensure production schedules and targets are achieved working with ATD & TOCMonitor workflow and adjust staffing or processes as needed Appropriately escalate any machine breakdowns or production issuesOperate machinery as required
3. Quality Ensure quality procedures are understood and being adhered toWork with quality teams to address defects or improvements
4. Health & Safety Lead by example in promoting the EHS culture, ensure all team members are compliant with safety procedures to include PPE adherenceIdentify and report Incident Free Events and ensure team members do the sameReport and investigate any incidents
5. Process Improvement Maintain and improve housekeeping through implementing 5S workplace organisation standards.Identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements Support lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives Support with the commissioning of new machineryImprove training materials and standard operating proceduresSupport creating a multi skilled team who are able to cover all CellsSupport in creating full and clear job instructions for all Cells
6. Reporting & Communication Support with the facilitation of shift meetings, updating employees on key departmental prioritiesWork closely with the supervisory team to ensure relevant information is communicated between shiftsCommunicate updates to management and other departments as necessaryCoordinate with maintenance, logistics, and quality teamsProvide guidance on sensitive issues, gaining support from HR as needed.
