About the role
At Next we have a great opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our busy Facilities department. You will help maintain cleanliness and orderliness, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment for our employees and visitors.
Main Tasks
* Ensure all areas are clean and kept to a high standard.
* Demonstrate safe use of cleaning materials and chemicals abiding to COSHH.
* Vacuuming, emptying bins, cleaning surfaces, windows and washrooms, and other cleaning duties as required.
* Clean and sanitise designated areas, including offices, meeting rooms, common areas, and toilets, according to standards and schedules.
* Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and other amenities.
* Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages or malfunctions.
* Assist with setup and cleanup for events, meetings, and conferences.
* Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and machinery, ensuring proper usage and safety protocols.
* Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
* Collaborate with facilities team to ensure efficient operations and a positive working environment.
About you
* Ability to work within health and safety guidelines.
* Passion for housekeeping and high standards of cleanliness.
* Positive attitude and flexible approach.
* Proven experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a corporate or professional environment.
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
* Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
