SCOPE
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, the F&B Operations Manager is a hands-on leader crucial to elevating our food and beverage offerings as a key differentiator for the Kempinski brand. This dynamic role demands active participation in overseeing and ensuring the success of our hotel's Food & Beverage and Banquet operations. You'll play a pivotal role in driving top-line revenue for the department while ensuring sustainable, profitable operations and maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
You will lead, motivate, and develop the F&B team, instilling a culture of courteous, professional, and efficient service that consistently aligns with both hotel and Kempinski brand standards. Your direct involvement in day-to-day operations will ensure seamless execution and an exceptional guest experience.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES
* Assist to oversee the Food & Beverage and Banquet day-to-day operations of the hotel.
* Ensure that sales are driven to full potential in specific outlets as appointed by Food & Beverage Head of Department.
* Ensure that all costs are in line with sales without compromising quality.
* Lead the department and ensure that they are driven in an entrepreneurial manner, looking for opportunities to generate more business at all times.
* Ensure that all rules & regulations are strictly established and adhered within the hotel including the hotel’s policy on fire and safety as well as hygiene regulations including HACCP.
* Create a conducive environment and ensure that innovation and new ideas are fostered, implemented and shared with other hotels via corporate office.
* Support and implement Human Resources & Talent Development initiatives.
* Assist to prepare and consolidate the yearly budget for the department.
* Prepare the monthly income statement, Revenue Report of the department as a whole, and attend the monthly performance meeting with the Outlet Management.
* Assist in sourcing the best available products, constantly aim to improve quality, communicate about the products both internally and externally.
* Prepare a yearly marketing plan for the appointed outlets in cooperation with the Sales & Marketing Department including a competitor analysis.
* Follow the local and global food & beverage trends.
* Ensure that all managers plan and implement effective training programmes in the appointed outlets.
REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum 5 years in F&B management role and/or in a similar capacity
* Experienced in various dining concepts in luxury hotels including all day dining, banquet, signature restaurants and celebrity chef restaurants.
* Fluent in spoken and written English
* Possesses great leadership and motivational skills and an ability to adapt communication and working style to suit different stakeholders.
* Positive attitude and team player with ability to work independently, thrive under pressure in challenging circumstances and come up with proactive, rational solutions.
* Resourceful, able to multi-task and work within tight deadlines
