Are you a chemistry or materials-focused engineer with a passion for electroplating and continuous improvement? Amphenol Ltd is looking for a Material Process Engineer who will play a key role in developing, maintaining and improving metal finishing processes.
What you’ll be doing
✔ Analysing and improving electroplating and material finishing processes
✔ Developing PFMEA documentation for new and existing processes (NPI)
✔ Providing hands-on shop-floor technical support and troubleshooting
✔ Managing chemical analysis, control and replenishment
✔ Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, GMP and environmental standards
✔ Supporting waste management, effluent systems and IPPC permit compliance
✔ Training and mentoring team members and supporting skills development
✔ Deputising for the Material Finish Engineer when required
What we’re looking for
🔬 Degree in Chemistry or a relevant Science discipline (ideally electroplating/material finishes)
🏭 Manufacturing experience with GMP / GLP knowledge
📊 Strong PFMEA, process documentation and problem-solving skills
⚠️ Solid Health & Safety and chemical handling experience
🤝 Confident communicator with a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset
