Structured Cabling Engineer Guildford (Surrey) – Nationwide Travel Required Full-Time | Permanent Salary Negotiable Overtime Company Benefits 30k to 45k The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Engineer to join our growing team, primarily based in the Guildford area, with travel required across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer with strong technical expertise in data cabling installations, testing, and network infrastructure projects across commercial, industrial, and data centre environments. Key Responsibilities Installation, termination, and testing of: Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a copper cabling Fibre optic cabling (single-mode & multi-mode) Installation of containment systems (tray, basket, trunking, conduit) Cabinet building, patch panel termination & labelling Fluke testing and certification Fault finding and network troubleshooting Reading and interpreting technical drawings Working across commercial, office, retail, education, and industrial sites Maintaining high health & safety standards on site Essential Requirements Minimum 2 years’ structured cabling experience Strong knowledge of copper and fibre installations Experience using Fluke test equipment ECS/CSCS Card Full UK Driving Licence Willingness to travel nationwide Professional attitude and good communication skills Desirable IPAF / PASMA Experience in data centre environments SSSTS (for senior-level applicants) Manufacturer certifications (Excel, Panduit, Commscope, etc.) What We Offer Salary negotiable depending on experience Overtime opportunities Company van & fuel card Tools and uniform provided Ongoing training and career progression Pension scheme Holiday allowance If you are a skilled Structured Cabling Engineer based near Guildford and open to nationwide travel, apply now with your CV.
