Hutcheon Mearns is delighted to be partnering with a private family office in Dundee, in its search for a highly capable and commercially astute Family Office Manager. This is a newly created position within this entrepreneurial family office, designed to support the continued growth of the business as it enters its next phase of development. The Family Office oversees a diverse portfolio of investments and business interests, spanning property development, hospitality and FMCG sectors. With local roots and international business interests, this organisation is values-led and has an emphasis on governance, discretion and operational excellence. Reporting to the Head of Family Office, this is an opportunity to join a small, agile team and take on a varied role that mixes operations, administration and stakeholder support. You'll work closely with the Head of Family Office, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while also getting involved in exciting projects across the wider group. The Opportunity You’ll be involved in a wide range of activities, including: Helping to organise and streamline how the office works day to day Developing policies, systems, and processes across the business Acting as a link between the office and various external advisors and partners Attending meetings across the group and supporting follow-up actions Assisting with brand communications and overseeing marketing activity (with EA support) Looking after compliance tasks, including HR and GDPR support Reviewing contracts and providing basic legal and corporate secretarial support Managing relationships with property tenants and helping to resolve issues Coordinating property-related and office improvement projects The Candidate We're looking for a business manager who is highly organised, adaptable and commercially aware who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. You'll likely come from an office management, business support or operations background. What's most important is your ability to get stuck in, stay on top of things and build great working relationships. The ideal candidate will bring; 5 years experience in a senior office or business management role Strong grounding in business administration, law or finance Confidence working across operations, HR, marketing and compliance Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills A pro-active, solutions focused mindset with high levels of discretion Flexibility to travel and manage multiple priorities UK driving licence Benefits and Terms and Conditions 35 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 4pm 35 days holiday Life assurance (3 X annual salary) Private Medical insurance Employer pension contribution 3% This role will be largely office based but there is flexibility afforded to work from home Next steps If you are interested in this position, please apply with your full CV.
