Access Talent Group are currently recruiting for a medium‑sized consultancy in Bristol. Our client is looking for a Team‑Leading Principal to manage a small team with a technical mindset to deliver projects of varying sizes and sectors.
We are currently looking for an established Senior Engineer or existing Principal to come in and lead a team of 5 engineers in the Bristol office. This individual will have a well-rounded technical experience in the Development Infrastructure sector. You will be working on a number of schemes within residential, mixed‑use commercial and niche projects in the river sector. You will have the opportunity to get involved in bidding and tendering, or work with the regional director to strengthen this area.
This client has been working with contractors to look at buildability regarding lead times on materials. This brings a new way to look and design which has brought in more work due to the problem‑solving involved. They are also working with a charity on a river project which they will be going to help build.
Overview
* 10+ years’ UK design consultancy experience across a range of sectors – notably Residential
* Sound client liaison experience and being commercially aware
* Experience with Section Agreements 278, 38, 185, 106 and 104
* Software experience: AutoCAD, Civil3D, WinDes/Info Drainage or PDS and Causeway Flow
* Hands‑on approach, with a desire to remain engaged in design and project delivery
* Willingness to grow a Civils team alongside the Regional Director – helping line‑manage/mentor colleagues
* Good organisation, communication, and presentation skills
