Overview
We have opportunities for a Full Time Senior Care Assistant on Days (44 hrs per week) and a Full Time Senior Carer on Nights (33 hrs per week). We are happy to discuss this in interview. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families and help ensure personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining high standards of care and influencing the rest of the team. You may assist with activities such as showing how to use a walking frame, supporting meals for residents at the end of life, and communicating with residents’ families. You will support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administering medication.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement individualised care plans to ensure security, dignity and independence for residents.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and uphold high standards of care.
* Assist residents with daily activities, including mobility support and communicating with families.
* Support with social and recreational activities and administer prescribed medications in line with regulations.
* Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager as part of the care team.
* Provide person-centred care and maintain accurate records of care and observations.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Ideally, completed Level 2 Diploma/SN VQ in Adult Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
* Experience in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Strong record-keeping skills and effective time management.
* Positive energy, kindness, and ability to get along with residents and colleagues.
