Technical Co-Founder / CTO – Health-Tech & Sports Performance
I’m looking to bring on a Technical Co-Founder / CTO to help build EXRT, a health & sports-tech startup focused on ECG-driven physiological and performance analytics for athletes and teams.
EXRT’s direction is now clearly defined following practitioner-led validation and recent angel funding, with a larger upcoming raise planned once key technical milestones are delivered. This next phase requires a committed technical partner to own the architecture, data pipeline, and technical roadmap alongside me.
About EXRT
EXRT is a sports performance technology company using health-grade ECG data and AI to deliver actionable physiological insight for athletes, practitioners, and teams. The platform focuses on understanding internal response to training - performance, recovery, and adaptation, rather than diagnostics or consumer wellness metrics.
The Opportunity
EXRT is not building another activity tracker or generic dashboard. The focus is on:
* Continuous ECG-derived insight
* AI-driven interpretation of physiological response (performance & recovery, not diagnostics)
* Decision-support for athletes, practitioners, and teams
* Integration with existing performance ecosystems rather than replacement
Commitment & Compensation (important)
This is an early-stage co-founder role.
* Cash compensation is limited at this stage
* Equity is meaningful and co-founder level
* Recent angel funding provides runway
* Further funding is actively planned following delivery of the next technical milestones
This role is suited to someone motivated by ownership, impact, and long-term value creation rather than short-term salary.
Technical Profile
You don’t need to cover everything, but strong experience in several of the following is expected:
* Backend engineering (Python preferred)
* Data engineering and time-series / biosignal processing (ECG experience highly advantageous)
* Applied ML / AI (classification, scoring, pattern detection)
* Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
* API design and system architecture
* Experience working with complex, imperfect datasets
Experience in health-tech, sports-tech, or regulated environments is a plus, but not a requirement.
