Job Description:
Your new company, Hays, is delighted to be working with an outstanding Top 10 Global practice based in Belfast city centre, seeking a Corporate Tax Manager/Associate Director to join their ambitious team. As a Manager/Associate Director, you must demonstrate deep technical knowledge in your service area and apply this to develop solutions for complex issues, managing and leading a team in demanding assignments daily. Excellent opportunities exist for ambitious candidates to progress within the firm.
Your new role
Note that responsibilities may vary depending on whether the role is for a Manager or Associate Director:
1. Manage portfolios of sizeable clients, providing solutions to complex tax issues reactively and proactively, and presenting solutions for technical challenges.
2. Lead the Corporation Tax compliance for large UK corporates, including multinational groups.
3. Understand tax issues specific to large corporates, such as corporate interest restriction, Country-by-Country reporting, and SAO.
4. Manage financial operations of the team and meet financial targets.
5. Own client relationships, understanding their business needs.
6. Participate in tendering and develop proposals for new clients.
7. Consult on technical areas, identifying support for technical risks.
8. Communicate high-quality tax deliverables tailored to clients.
9. Adhere to risk management processes.
10. Lead, motivate, and coach team members, providing feedback and appraisals.
11. Proactively seek career development opportunities.
12. Participate in business development activities and contribute to sales pitches.
Skills and attributes
* ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualification, with post-qualification experience in large practice.
* Strong technical knowledge of tax issues affecting large corporates.
* Approachable, proactive, and team-oriented.
* Self-motivated with responsibility and ownership skills.
* Ability to build trusted client relationships.
