The Opportunity A well-regarded 11–18 comprehensive school in Staffordshire is seeking a specialist Maths Teacher to join its mathematics team from January 2026, or sooner if available. This full-time, permanent role will involve teaching across Key Stages 3–5 (GCSE and A-Level), contributing to a strong maths curriculum, and helping students develop confidence in quantitative reasoning and problem solving. You will prepare students for internal and external assessments, including GCSE and possibly A-Level, guiding them through examination technique and tracker systems for monitoring progress. Collaboration is key: you’ll work within the maths team on scheme design, assessment strategies, and resourcing. Outside of core teaching, you may lead or support additional initiatives such as maths clubs, competitions, intervention groups, or cross-curricular numeracy projects. You will help embed a culture of mathematical ambition across the school and may contribute to departmental or whole-school improvement strategies.
