Your main duties will include assisting with both patient and non-patient moving & handling, cleaning duties and waste disposal, transportation and reporting of equipment, re-stocking and ensuring the department is safe and tidy.

Main duties of the job
Come and join our enthusiastic, dynamic, flexible and professional theatre team based at Basingstoke North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke. We work across a wide range of specialties and offer the opportunity to rotate developing your practice.
The Surgical Services Division is seeking a Theatre porter to be based in the Main Operating Theatre Department. The post-holder will provide a range of support duties within the Main Theatres suite. You will need to be flexible over a range of shift patterns.

Training & Qualifications
* Good standard of education including numeracy and literacy skills
* Customer care support training or similar experience.
Experience & Knowledge
* Experience of working in a busy environment with conflicting demands
* Experience of working in an NHS environment or public sector.
Skills & Ability
* Good verbal and written communication skills, including excellent telephone manner.
