The successful candidate will have strong conventional machining experience, with a good understanding of jigs and fixtures. They will be able to work with minimal supervision, using their knowledge of XYZ programming to operate lathe and milling machines.

In addition to their technical skills, the ideal candidate will possess effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work safely and adhere to company procedures.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflows, maintaining quality control, and adhering to safety protocols. You will also be required to participate in MRO145 training and maintain your certifications.

About the Role

* Calculate dimensions and tolerances using instruments such as micrometres and Vernier callipers.
">
* Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
">
* Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
">
* Set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools and specialized or advanced variations of tools to perform precision machining operations.
">
* Study sample parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
">
* Re-grinding of various drills and reamers to suit demand.
">
* Adaption of existing tools to suit requirements.
">
* Good housekeeping, maintaining cleanliness in the workshop.
">
* Adhering to company and manufacturers policies and procedures.
