In the UK, we have a key focus in the Nuclear sector, contributing to ground breaking projects, such as Hinkley Point C (HPC).
The Position: Project Engineer Mechanical/Piping
Some of the main responsibilities of the Project Engineer Mechanical/Piping will include:
* Define strategy for equipment and valve installation
* Responding to technical queries
* Resolving the construction open points
* Managing Exemption Requests
* Reviewing installation specifications and documentation from equipment suppliers
* Coordinate with Front Office teams in response to Field Change Requests / Non-Conformances from site
Preferred Profile:
Alongside a commitment to our values of Care & Compassion, Performance, Team Spirit, and Inclusiveness, we are looking for individuals who can bring the following:
* A relevant degree in engineering or science. If relevant, you should have achieved or be working towards chartership in that discipline.
* Piping-Mechanical installation experience
* Detailed understanding of Nuclear Pressurised Water Reactor (PWR) design and experience in PWR operations
* Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
* On site experience in a highly regulated environment
* Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication, and effectively influence diverse stakeholders.
* Reside locally to Bridgwater or be prepared to relocate, as this permanent role does not include travel expense coverage.
Please note that visa sponsorship is not guaranteed and is assessed on a case-by-case basis, depending on role criticality and project needs. Many of our UK projects require high-level security clearance, meaning we can often only consider candidates with an existing, indefinite right to work in the UK. Exceptionally, we may consider visa sponsorship for applicants with niche experience aligned to our core work (e.g. EPR/nuclear new build).
