Overview
This is a very exciting opportunity for a Ward Sister to join the team on the Major Trauma Ward. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our multidisciplinary team, providing high quality nursing care within the acute setting on the Major Trauma Ward. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills and a dedication to improving the patient experience. You will need to demonstrate continuing professional development and a strong commitment to develop others and work closely within a multidisciplinary team.
Applicants must be 1st Level Nurses with evidence of demonstrable experience of working as a Band 5 or previous experience as a Band 6. You will be required to demonstrate significant Band 5 experience. We are looking for individuals with leadership potential, effective communication skills and the ability to demonstrate a proactive, collaborative and innovative approach to the clinical environment and a passion for excellence in patient care. Informal visits are encouraged.
Responsibilities
* You will support the ward manager to lead, provide and supervise a very high standard of compassionate care to our patients.
* You will support the safety and quality agenda of patient care and staff management, ensuring that the values and objectives of the Trust are met, whilst improving patient outcomes.
* You will support the journey of the patient from admission to discharge, identify risk and formulate actions to reduce this risk and ensure patient throughput is effective.
* You will display excellent leadership and effective communication skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive, collaborative and innovative approach to the clinical environment and be passionate about excellence in patient care.
