The Opportunity
A leading, globally recognised engineering solutions provider is seeking a driven Technical Sales Representative to join their team. This field x2011;based position covers the Midlands region, supporting both existing customers and new business opportunities across a premium technical product range.
You will work with high x2011;precision measurement and inspection technologies, backed by expert internal support and ongoing technical training. This role is ideal for a technically minded sales professional who enjoys developing relationships, identifying customer needs, and offering high x2011;value solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Visit clients and prospective customers to understand their requirements and promote suitable products and services.
* Work both independently and collaboratively within a wider team environment.
* Build and maintain a strong understanding of metrology principles and their practical applications.
* Generate and qualify new business leads, involving specialist support where appropriate.
* Liaise with internal departments to ensure opportunities are followed through and customers receive exceptional service.
* Prepare quotations, negotiate commercially, and close sales to achieve agreed targets.
* Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, and activity data using CRM and company IT systems.
* Support product demonstrations, exhibitions, and marketing events when required.
* Work with Finance teams to resolve account or payment x2011;related queries.
* Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding pricing, availability, and commercial terms.
About You
* Experience in a technical or field x2011;based sales role: ideally within engineering, manufacturing, measurement, or related technical industries.
* Strong communication and relationship x2011;building skills.
* Technical aptitude and willingness to learn a diverse and complex product range.
* Self x2011;motivated and well x2011;organised, able to manage your own sales territory effectively.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
