We are currently seeking to appoint a permanent HR/Payroll Officer. Applications are invited from experienced HR & Payroll Officers to join our team. Under the guidance of the HR & Payroll Support Manager, you will provide HR and payroll support across City of Wolverhampton Council and its partners. Duties include payroll, pensions, HR support, policies and procedures, onboarding, and leavers.
Position Overview
City of Wolverhampton Council is looking for a motivated, responsible, and highly organized individual to join a dynamic environment. The successful candidate should have GCSEs or equivalent (including English and Math) or extensive recent HR/Payroll/Pensions experience. Experience in a school environment is advantageous.
Requirements and Responsibilities
* Interpret HR & Payroll information to make sound judgments and undertake relevant actions.
* Carry out accurate payroll calculations.
* Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Manage a varied workload responsibly.
* Use initiative and escalate concerns proactively.
* Interpret work to deliver effective, timely outcomes.
* Provide professional customer service to all stakeholders.
* Strong IT and communication skills, proficiency in HR and Payroll systems, and Microsoft Office are required.
