To this end, NHS Lothian welcomes applications from all sections of society. There is one full time Band 6 temporary position available within the Midlothian Assessment and Rehab Team. The Midlothian Intermediate Care Teams adopt a Home First philosophy. The team aims to prevent avoidable admission to hospital, facilitate a speedier discharge home, provide a rehabilitation service in the home and provide an alternative to hospital admission for the older adult in Midlothian. To supervise Physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers and students. To deputise for the team lead in meetings related to specialist clinical area. To develop and deliver training programmes for a wide range of professionals and carers to educate carers and significant others in the understanding of both the therapy process and any intervention relating to the management of patients medical and social needs. This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
