Field Service Engineer role at TipTopJob in the Oxford region.
Salary: cGBP40k depending on experience, plus a vehicle / allowances, generous bonus and exceptional benefits.
Our client designs, manufactures and supports bespoke in vitro diagnostic solutions for global supply and is seeking an experienced and self-motivated multi-skilled Field Service Engineer to provide high levels of technical customer service and support in the Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of automated laboratory equipment for Clinical and Industrial markets in the Oxfordshire region.
Responsibilities
* Install, perform Planned Preventative Service, conduct Reactive Repairs and provide Technical Support for a range of automated laboratory equipment.
* Manage vehicle stock inventory efficiently and in line with guidelines; ensure activities are completed on time and with accurate supporting documentation in accordance with engineering and service department requirements.
* Complete in-house training and attend external training courses to maintain knowledge and ensure high levels of service and support for customers and stakeholders.
* Monitor industry developments to stay up to date with technology advancements.
* Assist with project work as required to ensure deadlines are met and provide on-call customer support as part of the Service Team rota.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies and applicable industry regulations (including Health and Safety) and follow Safe Systems of Work on site.
Qualifications
* Essential: living in or around the Oxford area; holding a full UK driving licence; qualified to at least ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline.
* Experience: 3+ years in a comparable service or maintenance environment; laboratory or medical equipment experience is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
