Responsibilities
* Support the finance team in delivering financial support across the Council, modernising practices and qualifying as a CIPFA accountant.
* Work across all service areas in the provision of budget and financial management support and advice; provide financial information; contribute to budget setting and the year-end closure of accounts and production of financial statements.
* Contribute to budget setting and year-end processes as required and provide timely financial information.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills; ability to work to deadlines and to respond to the ad-hoc needs of the service.
* Ability to analyse financial data and identify trends.
