Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team for two days a week (Tuesday and Friday) initially with potential to increase. We are a term time setting. Staff are contacted for 39 weeks per year. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a crucial role in the development and well-being of children in our care, ensuring they receive the best possible start in life.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote learning through play.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support children's development.
* Manage daily activities, ensuring that all children are supervised and supported.
* Assess children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development.
* Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the quality of care provided.
* Lead by example, demonstrating strong leadership skills within the nursery setting.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Requirements
* Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare, Level 2 or above preferred.
* Experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude.
* A drive for continuous professional development and improvement in early years practice.
* A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
* Flexibility
* Paediatric First Aid certification desirable
