Job Description Assistant Professor in Theoretical Biological Modelling - DurhamThe Department of Engineering at Durham University is continuing an exciting period of strategic growth and seeks to appoint a talented individual to the role of Assistant Professor in Theoretical Biological (Microbiome) Modelling. We welcome applications from those with research and teaching interests in the broad field of environmental engineering, biosciences or soil science, and are particularly eager to hear from candidates with research interests and expertise in theoretical biological modelling in the field of complex soil microbial systems. They will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to a collegiate and proactive approach to working with colleagues across the Department and University.The role will concentrate on research for the first three years, after which successful candidates will also be actively involved in research-led engineering education.
The successful candidate will join the SMART (Soil Microbiome Augmentation and Restoration Technologies) Soils team, led by Professor Karen Johnson, in the Department of Engineering.
