We have an exciting opportunity to join our administration team as a Receptionist within the X-ray Department at the Leeds Dental Institute. You would be joining a diverse, inclusive and collaborative team who are friendly and supportive.
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The appointed individual will provide administrative support to colleagues and the clinical team, help to deliver a high standard of service, and be a friendly, welcoming, and helpful representative of our department and the NHS.

Main duties
* To provide reception duties to the Leeds Dental Institute X-ray Department.
* To attend to patients both in person and on the phone, managing their referrals and booking in their appointments.
* Support patients and clinical team by providing administrative support and through strong communication skills.
* Work as a team to deliver a high standard of service and ensure a positive patient experience.
* Maintain Trust Standards in interactions with all colleagues, patients and clinical staff.

Job description and responsibilities
Process patient correspondence/documentation, letters, reports and other documentation. Greet patients and visitors, provide an efficient and courteous service. Check/enter patient details on the Patient Administration and other systems. Prepare patient documentation for processing, including inputting or scanning. Report and respond to any system faults and errors. Maintain and update patient/departmental databases, prioritising within departmental guidelines and escalating unresolved issues to the appropriate line manager. Answer general telephone enquiries and requests to retrieve patient and other documentation. Ensure requests for information are dealt with efficiently. Follow Departmental/Trust disposal and destruction procedures of confidential documentation, in line with Data Protection Act and confidentiality. Collect and deliver patient documentation/reports around Trust when required. Deal with telephone and in-person queries from patients and relatives, Trust staff and external agencies. Refer queries or concerns to appropriate senior staff. Maintain high standards of care, including maintaining a safe working environment and respecting patient confidentiality. Participate in in-service and mandatory training, and in annual performance appraisal. Visit and/or work at other designated Trust sites as required. General office duties and other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Team Leader or Manager, including stock management and maintaining diaries for senior staff. Act in accordance with the Leeds Way Values in all interactions with patients, colleagues and the wider clinical team.
