1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant | Rotherham | September 2025 Start Are you a patient and compassionate Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with additional needs? Right Education is preparing for the usual increase in demand across primary schools in Rotherham this September. We expect schools to require full-time, one-to-one SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, social and emotional needs, and speech and language difficulties. These roles can be hugely rewarding, offering a real opportunity to make a positive impact on a child’s development and wellbeing. While we are not recruiting for one specific role, we are looking to register experienced and committed support staff now so we are ready when schools begin confirming their staffing needs. What the role may involve • Supporting a designated pupil on a one-to-one basis throughout the school day • Implementing strategies in line with the pupil’s EHCP and SEN support plan • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent support • Encouraging engagement, independence and positive routines • Supporting the pupil emotionally, socially and academically • Recording progress and reporting back to staff and parents when needed We would love to hear from you if you • Have previous experience supporting pupils with SEN or behavioural needs • Remain calm, patient and encouraging in challenging situations • Can build positive relationships with children and school staff • Are available five days per week from September • Are willing to complete a DBS and provide references What we offer • Full-time opportunities in supportive primary schools across Rotherham • Friendly and responsive consultants who take the time to understand what you’re looking for • Access to free and discounted CPD • The chance to move into long-term roles when available Register Your Interest If you’re looking to work one-to-one with a pupil in a primary setting from September 2025, we’d love to hear from you.
