We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Bar Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Bar Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar, providing exceptional service, and supporting the Bar Manager in achieving business goals.
Role Responsibilities:
* Assist the Bar Manager in the daily management of the bar, including staff supervision, inventory management, and ensuring excellent customer service.
* Lead shifts, ensuring that service runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Train, develop, and motivate the bar staff to deliver high standards of service and hospitality.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and licencing regulations.
* Monitor stock levels, manage orders, and control costs to maximise profitability.
* Support the Bar Manager in driving sales, implementing promotions, and creating a positive experience for all guests.
* Address customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
* Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
* Contribute to a positive team culture, ensuring high morale and teamwork.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within a bar, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Good understanding of stock control, cash handling, and cost management.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and food safety standards.
* A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
