Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our small team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our dental clinicians. This position requires good communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently. The Dental Nurse will assist in various dental procedures, ensuring that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their treatment.
Responsibilities
* Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, providing chair-side support.
* Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
* Manage appointment schedules, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high standards of patient care are maintained.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
* Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and understanding.
* Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
* Familiarity with IT systems for managing patient records and appointments is advantageous but candidate will be trained on our specific programme
* Excellent communication skills to provide clear information to patients regarding their treatment.
