We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer to join the Safety Engineering team supporting International Operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure high safety standards are integrated into systems and processes across Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, and Delivery Stations outside North America.
* Validate vendor-proposed technical safety solutions and collaborate with internal engineering and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Apply detailed knowledge of EU machinery safety regulations, engineering best practices, and procedural controls to reduce operator and maintainer risks.
* Support procurement and implementation of robotics and automated conveyor systems.
* Define and update technical standards for machinery safety and process controls, working closely with EU and North American experts.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Reliability, Maintenance, Procurement, and Real Estate teams to deliver safety standards.
* Support capital procurement, building design, and safety during project launches.
* Conduct machinery inspections, risk assessments, and mentor team members.
* Develop safety solutions that meet Amazon's standards for safety, risk reduction, and operational excellence.
* Train personnel on safety policies and standards.
* Research industry innovations for safer machinery and risk reduction techniques.
* Generate technical updates and reports on projects and risks.
* Influence change management processes to promote safety improvements.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
* Experience in compliance, governance, audit, risk management, or related fields.
* Experience handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
* Professional auditing or risk/ compliance credentials.
* Experience with SQL and Excel.
* Experience in defining program requirements and using data to drive improvements.
