The Vacancy

Wiltshire College & University Centre have a great opportunity for a part time Lecturer in Land Based (Agriculture) to join our team.

Location: Lackham, Wiltshire

Salary: £28,168 - £39,244 per annum, pro rata (dependant on skills, qualifications and experience)

Job Type: Permanent, Part Time 22.5 Hours Per week, 52 weeks per year

Close Date: 1st December 2025

Lecturer in Land Based (Agriculture) - The Role

Set in 500 acres of Wiltshire countryside, our Lackham campus is home to a modern AgriTech Centre, a Robotic Dairy featuring market‑leading robotics and software, and Home Farm where our dairy herd, flock of sheep, livestock and crop production are all based.

We are seeking a Lecturer in Land Based (Agriculture) to join our passionate and supportive team – someone who shares our enthusiasm for rural industries, sustainability, and innovation in modern farming.


Key Responsibilities

* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across a range of agriculture‑related topics, such as livestock management, crop production, machinery operations, and agri‑business from Level 1 through to Level 3.
* Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential, using practical, real‑world examples drawn from your own experience.
* Monitor and support student progress, providing constructive feedback and pastoral guidance.
* Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure our curriculum remains current and aligned with emerging agricultural technologies and practices.


Lecturer in Land Based (Agriculture) - You

* Have significant experience within the agriculture industry – whether in livestock, arable, or agri‑tech sectors.
* Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Agriculture or a related discipline.
* Are enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of agricultural professionals.
* Embrace continuous learning and development, both personally and professionally.
