Production Planner / MRP Controller Overview
Were recruiting for a detail-driven Production Planner to coordinate manufacturing schedules using an MRP system, ensuring customer delivery commitments are met. This role plays a key part in aligning production, materials, and resources, working closely with internal teams across engineering, purchasing, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and schedule production activities based on capacity and material availability
2. Review engineering drawings and multi-level BOMs to support make vs buy decisions
3. Monitor material supply and provide clear direction to Purchasing on requirements and timelines
4. Identify and manage critical path items, ensuring any risks to schedule are addressed early
5. Expedite materials where required to maintain production timelines
6. Raise and manage accurate works orders to support manufacturing output
7. Create and maintain production part numbers and manufacturing BOMs where needed
8. Provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting any risks or delays
9. Support pricing requests for spares linked to sales orders
10. Attend planning, sales, and operations meetings to forecast workload and resource needs
11. Contribute to KPI reporting, tracking planning performance vs actuals
