NFP Finance Lead at Trace - Recruiting Senior/Qualified candidates in the third sector
Management Accountant, Theatre - £60,000, Central London
We are working with a London-based theatre group, aiming to develop their in-house accounting function and provide more commercial insight to the senior leadership team. The role involves working alongside external accountants to provide management information, conduct commercial analysis, and lead on technical accounting. Candidates with a theatre or performing arts background are preferred. We are reviewing CVs throughout the process, so please apply promptly.

Your Role
* Manage all financial accounting aspects for live events, tours, and bespoke projects.
* Prepare and review management accounts periodically, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
* Collaborate with teams to support cash flow forecasting and variance analysis.
* Produce cost tracking reports for stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and regulations.
* Oversee reconciliation of project accounts, settlement processes, and revenue monitoring.
* Coordinate audits and statutory financial reporting.
* Handle VAT submissions, theatre tax relief claims, and year-end obligations.
* Work with payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely compensation and compliance.
* Improve financial controls and reporting frameworks.
* Provide strategic financial analysis for decision-making and project evaluation.
* Maintain communication with external advisors and stakeholders.
Your Skills & Qualifications
* ACA/ACC/CIMA Qualified Accountant
* Experience in theatre or productions is advantageous
* Strong knowledge of tax, VAT, statutory accounts, and UK standards
* Commercially focused with ability to communicate with non-finance stakeholders
* Interest in performing arts or live entertainment is a plus
