Your new role
As a Personal Tax Senior, you’ll play a key role in supporting the partners and tax team in managing a portfolio of personal tax clients. You’ll be responsible for:
1. Preparing self-assessment tax returns andputations for a wide variety of clients
2. Managing filing deadlines and supporting clients with queries
3. Maintaining excellent client relationships and acting as a regular point of contact
4. Assisting with ad hoc advisory work, HMRC enquiries, and disclosures
5. Supporting the transition to Making Tax Digital for sole traders and landlords
6. Promoting the firm’s services and identifying opportunities to introduce new clients
7. Mentoring junior team members and contributing to their development
You’ll work closely with partners and colleagues, contributing to the delivery of high-quality tax planning andpliance services.
What you'll need to succeed
8. At least 3 years’ experience in a personal tax role within a firm of Chartered Accountants
9. ATT, ACCA/ACA part-qualified/qualified, or QBE with relevant experience
10. Strong technical knowledge of personal taxation
11. Excellent time management, planning, and organisational skills
12. Strongmunication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
13. Ability to supervise and coach junior team members
14. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple tasks
15. Familiarity with IRIS Practice Suite or CCH (preferred but not essential)
16. Awareness of Making Tax Digital and its implications for clients
